I have been tracking down the main research centres in England where scholars, students and teachers might have a particular interest in Rosemary Sutcliff’s writing, and issues related to her writing, as well as to historical fiction and story-telling. Thus I had an idea who to ask about the significance of the 2010 Phoenix Award I learned of today. If any of you reading this are of that world, perhaps you could tell me how I am doing – have I missed anywhere? So far I have found:
- Cambridge University’s Cambridge/Homerton Research and Teaching Centre for Children’s Literature
- Newcastle Uiversity’s Children’s Literature Unit
- Reading University’s Centre for International Research in Childhood: Literature, Culture, Media (CIRCL)
- Roehampton University’s National Centre for Research in Children’s Literature (NCRCL)
- Worcester University’s International Research Centre: Children’s Literature, Literacy and Creativity
