May 12th Thursday. Got Dr Eve to come and look at two big moles on my back, I have had them as long as I remember and never bothered about them but with the media having “European Cancer Week” and my newspapers and magazines having articles about moles turning into skin cancer, just thought I should., However , he said he could reassure me as soon as he looked at them, nothing of themselves of the kind that turn into anything else. A weight off my mind!

May 8th Sunday. Was supposed to be going to tea with Geraldine, but then she had to go to sell tickets or something at the Duchess’s cricket match. Only in the end she decided not to, and she and Aileen came to watch Suleiman the Magnificent with me instead. All very Irish.
