It is difficult to reconcile these as two covers of the same book by Roald Dahl, some 50 years apart. One the original edition; the other the new Penguin paperback edition.
The new cover would seem more suited to a detective novel reading: “The dame walked in as I was stubbing out my tenth cig of the morning. I was hoping she was wearing French lingerie and little else under her conservative raincoat.”
Definitely prefer the original version :) The new one seems to have no relevance whatsoever to the actual story.
