Thank you for that very interesting link. I have been a fan of David Jones for 30 years – (about 15 years less than I have been a fan of Rosemary Sutcliff) and never expected to find the two names in the same article!

Have found my copy of “Shadows on the Downs”, Anthony, but my scanner is on blink, so will send via the library next week.
